The TRAIN AFRICA, INVENT AFRICA, LEARN AFRICA
As the name implied is one of Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s projects
designed to equip, support and lift the African Economy through SKILL DEVELOPMENT
AND TALENT BUILD UP.
The official handle of the organization has it that, GLOBE
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY will be partnering other Agencies,
Authority's, Government and international organizations to train 10,000 African
Automobile Mechanics (Young Automobile Engineers), Automobile design,
Automobile Technology, Repairs and Services among others.
In addition, the program will also cover disciplines
such as, Auto coding, Auto design, Artificial intelligence, Robotics and drone
technology.
In a statement from the President of the organization,
Hon. Buchi George, the program is one of the many programs they are lined up to
support and skill up Africans especially as the world prepares for 21st century
innovations, technology and electric car and other mobility technologies .
“African National Automobile Mechanic Training
program, is part of the Train-Africa, Invent Africa, Learn-Africa Project, and
we are excited with the number of endorsements and collaboration the program
has attracted so far”.
“African governments are welcomed to key
into this program to develop citizens through Skill training, skill development
and manpower empowerment to reduce unemployment” he asserted.
“ We are trying to solidify our international
partnerships that will help in maximizing the missions of the program which
will take place at the Automobile Training Institutes for a period of six
months and one year, respectively”, he continues.
“Our goal is to train people, most especially,
Africans who will be good enough to work in any part of the world, with that
kind of achievement, we can proudly say Africa is at the spotlight again for
good”. He opines.
“When we
achieve the objective of this program, we’ll put measures in place for
continuity to ensure the knowledge is passed down and if that is done we will
witness a high level of change”,
He concluded by saying, “Training African in Asia Automobile industries alone is a huge step for us as an organization as well as the continent of Africa. One thing that is very important now is to ensure that all the necessary preparatory works are done on time, while we are also working towards securing other necessary partnerships that will ensure our goals are achieved”
