HER TRADE SUPPORTS PROGRAM: A Humanitarian project and Empowerment program of GLOBE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, supporting Rural women and children Education.

It is a project designed by Globe Chamber of commerce and industry (GCCI) to empower and offer quality support service to improve the quality of life of the rural women and children so they can attain the height and position needed of them in the society.

 

 According to the president of GCCI, who is also a business strategist, ‘Rural Women are key agents for achieving the transformational Economic, Environmental and social changes required for sustainable Development’.

“Empowering them is key not only to the well-being of individuals, Families and Rural communities, but also to overall Economic productivity, given women’s large presence in the agricultural workforce And child training

 

“One of the foremost challenges that this rural people faced are limited access to Funds, credit, health care and Education among other challenges which could be attributed to global food crises, Economic crises and climate change, among others’. He added

 

“The overall objective of this program is to support the Economic and social recovery of the nation by improving and supporting traders and businesses.” He further explained.

 

“We are not only supporting individuals, we’re also on the movie to support Rural Communities, local Trade organizations, village market women, Farmers and artisans through capacity building,  local infrastructural provision, training, as well as  educating them on new skills, talent development”, he opines.

 

“In the past, this program has helped women realize their economic potential and thereby contributed concretely to poverty reduction and improved standards of living.

 

“With renewed assistance from the partners, Government and international organizations, emphasis on help will be projected towards priority sectors, human capital development, self-independency and ability to feed the nation, this is part of grass root, as turning the nation population to production nation project is our hallmark". He continued.

 

Women are prominent in areas like agro commerce, food products and agriculture business leather, handicraft and textiles/fabrics, horticulture, agriculture, coffee farming, petty trading and local services in order to build potency to boost Economic growth and security.

 

“This program will also create a platform that will strengthens business negotiations between sellers and buyers, for those that are already in business.

 

“All our business programs are platform to where you can showcase your products, connect with other business minds and expand your scope of businesses……… as emphasis and opportunities on market development and business networking are also available “. He added.

 

Her Trade Support is a special program that addresses the special needs of the Woman Entrepreneur, to provide actual and potentially required skills, supporting rural women, feeding families, networking traders of similar businesses for likeable growth and give the woman the required confidence to take on new markets in other to grow.

 

“Giving is synonymous with building, it is only when you are being given the requirement, opportunity, or finance, that you will be able to build a comfort to the betterment of yourself and society at large”, he concluded.
