55 Africa nations
and 44 European countries are expected to connect at the Euro-Africa Economic
and Investment Forum in 2023 according to the website of Globe Chambers of
Commerce and Industry.
The President of
Globe Chamber of Commerce, who is also a trade expert by practice, in a press
briefing with Globe Chamber Business Time yesterday in Abuja Nigeria, said that
the aforementioned event is aimed at boosting trade and investment between
Africa and Europe.
He further
stated that beyond trading activities, the event will also help to scale up
production in Africa via quality and quantity.
“There are rules for export and the key thing
there is quality and global standards”
“When the
doors are open, every manufacturer will start making things for the world which
will now become their immediate environment”
He also
revealed that the event is part of their World Economic and Investment Forum,
adding that 2023 will see them replicate same for Asia and America respectively.
“At the moment, we are working on bringing all
countries on board, stating that the idea is already exciting embassies across
the continents”’ he continues.
“People are already excited and we understand
that we have to plan and ensure we achieve our set goals for the event”
“Every great
nation has imbedded in the mind of their local producers ‘to go globally’ by
opening a common door that will easily enable them to reach people around the
globe”
“We also have
a contrary mindset about what people call ‘local producers’ because we know
that everything is local in its original environment, but foreign the moment it
cross the shores of their country”, he said.
“lots of
African producers are thinking global at the moment, there is also need to
practically and strategically demonstrate to others on the need for a global
vision, but clearly stating that before that could be achieved doors will to be
opened by projects like the Euro-Africa Economic and Investment Forum
2023”, he concluded.
