Business Insight: Buchi George Hails Minister’s Impact on ECBD Forum





The President of Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George has hailed the impact of the Honourable Minister on the actualization of the Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum (ECBD Forum).

 

ECBD Forum which is an economic and business forum designed to attract Foreign Direct Investment as well as give made in Nigeria goods more global acceptance, will be held in three European countries before the end of 2022.

 

Buchi George said that minister has played a great role in turning the dream into a project, especially on the health side of the project.

 

He said that the minister took the idea personally using his office and strategic ingenuity to birth the  Economic Cooperation On Health Investment and Medical Business Development Forum.

 

“He understands the importance of good health and quality investment in the sector”

 

“He took the project personally and has given it his all from day one. This is something you rarely see i people at that level but he has proven that it is not just about his position, but about the betterment of the country”

 

“He has proven that from day one, he saw that the Economic Cooperation On Health Investment and Medical Business Development Forum has what it  takes to change the sector in Nigeria for good and ensuring that we are well packaged to be able to attract big global players in the sector is something great for us”, Buchi George said.

 

Hon. Buchi George whose Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry is organizing the event said that the ECBD Forum is a multisectoral business and investment forum while there will be a great emphasis on health because of the urgent attention the sector needs in the country.

The approved dates and countries for the event include:

 London, United Kingdom between November 1 -15, 2022;

Bucharest, Romania December 10 – 11, 2022; and

Prague, Czech Republic, December 16 – 17, 20222 .

 

“The event is designed to turn us into  a producing nation that will support and power the recovery of our economy. It will also encourage brands to scale up via quantity and quality for export”, Buchi George said.

 

He further revealed that the Honourable Minister will be leading the Nigerian delegation in London, Romania and Japan for the ECBD Forum.

 


ECBD Forum: Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry Takes Nigeria Made Goods to Europe.


 



Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry is still working on their moves to improve the global acceptance of Made in Nigeria goods.

 

In a move with the Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum (ECBD Forum), the organization alongside their partners will be holding an exhibition for Nigerian made goods in Europe.

 

ECBD Forum which is an annual economic event focusing on bilateral trade partnership, foreign direct investment, and product and service expo, is a platform for partnership building and global networking for both government and private sectors.

 

The forum is also designed to improve the ease of doing business, through the review of government policies and in turn encourage multilateral business development.

 

The project which is being put together by Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry will change the landscape of marketing Made in Nigeria goods globally.

 

“Our goal still remains to make people around the world understand that we can also be giant of Africa and a big global player when it comes to manufacturing and trade”

 

“We also want to create a market that will skyrocket demand for Nigerian goods and this will simply be the magic that will earn us more foreign currencies and then move us from a consuming economy to one that is known for production”, Hon. Buchi George also stated that the confirmed European countries for the ECBD Forum are the UK, Romania and Czech Republic.

He also revealed that the events which are in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria, other partnering agencies, embassies and governments, will have the Nigerian delegation led by the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora.

Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry is set to attract more investment in the health sector through the  Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum (ECBD Forum).

 

The arm of the event tagged Economic Cooperation On Health Investment and Medical Business Development Forum, will focus on the development of the health sector through bilateral trade partnership, and foreign direct investment.

Globe Chamber of Commerce In A Move To Make Nigerian Made Goods A Global Brand

 



When you ask young people from developing countries what they want for their country, they often say opportunity. A good number of them wants jobs and knowledge; they want to be connected to the global economy.



Local manufacturing industries can foster these types of opportunities through investment and transfer of knowledge to local workers and entrepreneurs. Most of this local content are demanded in the global marketplace today, this high demand will increase the potency of workforce.
