Middle East - Africa Economic and Investment Forum 2022

Middle East - Africa Economic and Investment Forum is going to serve as a multilateral strengthening program that will harmonize Africa Economic with that of the Middle East.

Based on projections from the United Nations, Africa's population is expected to double by the year 2050. Currently, Africa's population is about 1.2 billion and is set to hit 2.4 billion in the next 30 years......

At around the year 2100, it is expected to hit about 4.3 billion. What this implies is that by that time, about 33 percent of the world will be residing in Africa. This indicates clearly that Africa is on a pace to catch up with Asia by the end of the century.

One of the biggest challenges Africa is facing today is lack of jobs. By the time Africa hits 2.4 billion around year 2050, Africa will need about 800 million jobs to sustain its youthful population because according to the African Development Bank, over one-third of Africa's population will be youths.

Africa needs a private-sector led growth to drive economic transformations. We should not wait for the West to give us aids or for them to invest, instead Africa should engage with other emerging markets like the Middle East.

Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be organizing Middle East-Africa Economic and Investment Forum. This forum will be a catalyst for a cross boarder trade and Investment flow linking the Middle east with Africa and this can enrich both sides.

Middle East-Africa Economic and Investment Forum will be a networking point for the Middle Eastern and African Investors as Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proposing that the best way to reposition Africa for the future is by engaging with emerging markets.

Speaking to news men over the weekend, The President of Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Buchi George, said strategic partnership with the Middle East is one of the keys to global development at the moment.

Qualities you must develop to do better in business

Business is an art, and not everyone knows to master this art. Some people have the inborn qualities to be successful entrepreneurs, while others work to develop these qualities. No matter which of these descriptions best fits you, everyone can benefit from continuing to improve on these important characteristics.

Below are some important personal qualities you must adopt to help you survive and do better as you go on managing your business:

Vision

Entrepreneurs see opportunities everywhere. They are innovators who are always on the lookout to either develop new ideas or improve existing products or services. And, chances are that is the main reason why they became entrepreneurs in the first place. At some points in their lives, they noticed things that could be better. But, just saying that things could be better wasn’t enough. They actually put plans in motion. In other words, entrepreneurs have the ability to see the future before it happens.

Discipline

Successful entrepreneurs always focus their energy on making the business work, and for eliminating the distractions or obstacles to their goals. Their overarching strategies help them to reach the goals they have while they outline the plan to achieve the final outcome. Moreover, entrepreneurs become successful as they are disciplined to always make new steps every day towards the accomplishment of their goals.

Passion

The first and foremost quality of a successful entrepreneur is passion.  No one can achieve anything if they do not have the passion for reaching that goal. Motivation keeps blood running, helping an entrepreneur to keep hope and overcome obstacles as he or she advances towards the goal. This is why a successful entrepreneur is passionate and motivated in a whole new demeanor.

Flexibility

Being able to adapt to changes and challenges is crucial for any business. In fact, most entrepreneurs will inform you that their ideas or business plans are drastically different from when they began. An idea may be brilliant, but ineffective in reality. Entrepreneurs are flexible enough to make the adjustments for that idea to be feasible. Furthermore, entrepreneurs are prepared and willing to modify their plans when new information arrives and when there are changes in circumstances.

Taking abstract thoughts and making them linear

It seems like everyone has an idea that they think is the next big thing, yet very few of those people ever take the steps to execute on it. Those that do often flail around while their ideas die a slow and painful death. The problem here is that you need to be able to take your idea and visualize the entire process, from creation through sales and beyond, in order to have a real chance at executing it effectively.

Function well under stress

Startups are a grind. If you are one of those people that cannot operate well under stress when the stakes are at their highest, you will most certainly fail. You must be comfortable being a bit out of control because there isn’t a playbook for a startup — most of what you are going to do is learned along the way and won’t be part of your plan. If, however, you are one of the few whose performance actually step up under stressful conditions, you’ll be well suited for the startup lifestyle.

Strong people skills

A successful entrepreneur is someone who has excellent communication skills for selling the products to customers and motivating the employees.

So, if you are about to embark on the journey to be an entrepreneur, have just entered the journey, or have been in the journey but have not seen success, you need to adopt these qualities and make them a part of you for gaining success.

ISRAEL – AFRICA AGRO BUSINESS INVESTMENT AND AGRO TRADE FORUM, TEL AVIV, ISRAEL 2022

Trade is critically important to economic development. Right now, Africa has about 2 percent of all world trade, which is hard to believe when you think about all of the tremendous resources that they have - oil, diamonds, gold ... not to mention all the agricultural products such as coffee, tea, cocoa - and to think that Africa still only has 2 percent of world trade is really incredible. But the power of trade is that if the Africans were able to increase their share of world trade from 2 to 3 percent, that 1 percentage increase would actually generate about $70 billion of additional income annually for Africa.

The potency of the Agricultural sector in Africa is vast but due to limitations in technology, unavailability of good equipment and machinery, Lack of adequate funding, advanced and innovative Ideas are the road blocks to the growth and improvement of the sector. The agricultural technology sector in Africa seems to be stagnant or moving backwards while the rest of the world continues to advance.

Because trade is vital to sub-Saharan Africa's economic future and to improving lives and livelihoods, The ISRAEL – AFRICA AGRO BUSINESS INVESTMENT AND AGRO TRADE FORUM is initiated by Globe Chamber of commerce and Industry to give the African continent an opportunity to sit with the best minds in the Agricultural Technology world to discuss the limitations and their subsequent solutions to the challenges faced in the agricultural sector.

Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), is committed to support economic growth through promotion of trade and investment policies. The organization also develop trade which focus on industrialization and human capital development.

The organization achieve it’s international trade goals by building bilateral and multilateral trade partnership, which form bridges between the private and public sectors involving relevant government and international agencies.

The ISRAEL – AFRICA AGRO BUSINESS INVESTMENT AND AGRO TRADE FORUM has being scheduled for September 2022.

Although Plans and other preparatory process is still ongoing, the event will undoubtedly be a blast!
